So in my insomniatic state, I randomly clicked on etsy's "buy" tab, and found their feature called Pounce -- you can search through stores who either just made a sale, or have not made one yet (eeks! that will be me once I list something... someday!)
Anyway, how cute are these??
All from Nooshka, they are (again) out of my price range at $65-70 -- but toooo cute not to share!

Oh, internet rabbit trails
So, just to make sure I was calling my dress the right color, I googled dove gray (hee -- and did find the definition was a type of gray with either a pink or a blue cast to it -- perfect! mine's the blue-tinted kind) -- and google-imaged it, too, just to be sure.
And saw this stunner.

Dress inspiration!
I stumbled across this post by The Inspired Bride -- even more motivation to alter my original wedding dress!
Just yesterday I had expressed my hesitation to my coworker to alter the dress to tea-length, just in case (1) I ever have children, and (2) one is a girl, and (3) the girl *possibly* wants to wear my wedding dress -- but then J told me that one of *her* friends wore her mom's dress to her rehearsal dinner -- PERFECT! No more hesitation for me to preserve my dress!
But I still like the idea of handsewing the "vintage" lace from the ebay dress onto another dress I bought for just $5 from Ross for this charity event I attended (I seriously have the best luck sometimes!) -- ooh, this! Except a pale pale dove gray with the ivory sash:
But with this dress being $5 and the vintage dress being $26, and supplies I just bought was like $10 -- there's totally budget to still have my original dress altered!
Rock. (And bonus: for a *super* fun dress, check out A Wedding Cabaret's spotlight!)

i heart my co-workers
Robert Altman (c) 2001
My co-workers are the bestest. I've basically called on practically every one of them to help me wade through this mucky, mucky case. The last one I roped in looked at this petitioner's 14-page hand-written brief, listed all of his claims and then compared his list to the one I made -- and then talked them over with me.
At my team-meeting, we were supposed to share what we're working on, and everyone already knew what I was going to discuss, because everyone has helped me out on this. And that's phenomenal, I can't believe I have such a supportive office. Lucky, lucky me :)

Must figure out how to wear these in the office.
Thank you, Kat, for making me want fascinators + veils even more.

And this one would also make a stunning print.

Home: dining room treatment
Part of me thinks (knows?) I'm nuts, but I really want pattern on my dining room walls. But I'm scared of wallpaper. So why not stencil?
(dixcot locations)
And what led me there was this Apartment Therapy post -- I just love these.
And of course, Kikette Interiors had these gorge spaces...
