Here's to hoping everyone had a fabulous holiday, and to a fabulous Monday as cheery as this delightful gingerbread house!

Friday Love! {Stacy Reeves Photography + Opie Foto}
I can't believe The Game moved to Thanksgiving -- since I'm scheduling this ahead of time, I'm not sure who won at this point (Gig em, Ags!), but I thought it fitting to feature fab A&M and (could-be-related to) UT wedding awesomeness. Happy Friday!

This could still happen....
One touchdown behind is not bad at all... Go Ags! And the best part? Watching the game in pjs!
I know, a little random, but hey, my "Texas A&M" options were a little limited!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I'm thankful for :

I'm thankful for :
- the blessings God sends my way: sunshine, flowers, and the little things that cheer me up when I feel overwhelmed or cranky or grumpy or sad;
- my amazing support system, at work, at home, and across the state and state lines through my girls who make me feel incredible;
- the people who understand me and love me no matter how little sense I make or what craziness I might dream up;
- having a job that I love, that challenges me, and that has led me to so many wonderful people and new opportunities and new confidence in myself;
- being healthy, and the health of my family;
- for amazing food, and the ability to enjoy all of this; and
- for all the new bundles of joy and love celebrations.

whoa.whoa.whoa: Etsy craft fair!
omg, let's all go + cheers-in the holidays!! One of my friends told me about this earlier, but I had no idea what she was talking about -- I.am.so.excited. Do I just miss craft shows or something? Whatevs, I'm totally there. Maybe not early enough to get a goodie bag (seriously, if you're one of the first 25 there on either Sat or Sun, can you please drop me a line + lemme know what you snag?) -- but hopefully early enough to not miss out on anything!
Love Shak #14: Post- Party
L: I'm sure this isn't in the budget. But whoa whoa whoa, post-party at a bowling alley? What *doesn't* say Love Shak like this?? Okay, really, I'm not sure what would tie you guys in to a bowling alley. But it sure would be fun :) What if I said these socks would be on me? I know, I'm *such* the negotiator.

Etsy Love {crumpetcake}
So. I think I fell a little in love with druzy via Emily of cupcakesandcashmere, who started a line of necklaces within the past year. But I was able to hold my own against Temptation.
And then.
I can't recall exactly how, but last week, someone led me to crumpetcake. Who has a delightful collection of all kinds of trinkets (hello, " I heart bacon!" necklace!) and the druzy beauties. My faves?

Cheer for the day
So. It is only 3:45pm but my day has already been long and stressful. I know, bummer. Want to know what made me smile, perhaps when I was seething most?
Imagine this in darker, wintery colors. Like... a deep brown, almost plum-hue to it.
And paired with the most lovely lavendar shirt.
Worn by a man in his early 40's, I'd hazard. Standing on the street corner, looking as if he had not a care in the world.
And I just smiled.
I was thinking how ridiculous it is that fashion can be an instant upper -- but really. It caught me off guard because.. gosh, it was just so fashion-forward (or, at least adventurous!), and ... I don't know, maybe I was admiring that confidence to try something so not-the-usual around here? And this whole seasonal concept -- I mean, clearly the color wouldn't have worked in the summer or spring. And, I'm not exactly a fashion maven (is that somebody who knows lots about fashion?), but I like to think I'm at least with it or close to that, or something. but, um I'm still mostly wearing the same things I wore in the summer (less pastels, but still...), and there was this *guy* who was clearly conscious of this whole other (fashion) world, like I want to be!
Anyway. I liked it. It made me smile. And temporarily distracted from terrible post office experience that I do not even want to go into. Except Sis, you better not give me any grief about this very nice thing that I have done for you. Because all I can say is grrrr.
A-hem. Here's to a lovely afternoon. Heart of Light looks to be setting up a lovely week of non-stress holiday postings -- what a delightful idea! This made my day start out well, but, hmm. Maybe I should do a similar thankful/cheer post in the afternoon, as I'm working on 80 bajillion projects + feel the stress coming on :D I know -- Self, you are already too busy, why would adding on one more thing to your plate be good for you? Because -- yummy things make you feel better, no matter what :)

Polyvore-tastic!
We are *about* to head out to a Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving feast with our friends :) -- so excited! And late, but that's beside the point :) What to wear? Something a bit fancy but duh, I'm with friends and *know* I will eat loads -- so, obviously something comfy!
And let's pretend I was doing Thanksgiving with the in-laws for the first time, or meeting parents for the first time. What to wear? If I had the polyvore wardrobe at my disposal, I might go with bringing these items, so I could be ready for a bit dressy or just dressy-casual!

What to love about being a grown up
So. I am slowly cranking out what needs to get done. verrrrrry slowly. Slowly in part because I get distracted. By what? Ahh, these bags, which would be a perfect reward for my hard work, no? And look oh-so-chic. Even if I have nowhere to bring them to except my office. But hey, maybe one day I'll get to the Big Place, right?

Hard Work
Work is hard. I know I can do it. At least, I'm pretty sure I can. But man, when it all just seems so... big... it's pretty, well, not fun.
But, one bite at a time, right? Cheers to anyone else facing a tough workday.
mm-hmmm
le sigh. I cannot begin to describe how tired I am -- this week has just been non-stop, and I really don't see an end in sight until the second week of December. I am most definitely not working on Thanksgiving, and of course I'm shopping the Black Friday sales. But realizing that I'm going to work through this weekend til Wednesday, then pick back up the following Friday evening through... what feels like ever...? oh. man.
But anyway -- while I bookmarked a good number of beauties this week, sleep took a little higher priority than sharing those happies. So here is just one treasure, that captures exactly how lovely I hope your weekend will be :)

Love Shak #13:Table fantasies
Dear L: I know, no building tables :) And yes, rounds will be fabulous. But shoot, doesn't it seem like wooden tables with runners down the middle are freaking everywhere, flaunting their gorgeousness?
{100layercake, feat. Mel Barlow}
But I've also been seeing some *lovely* rounds + and long tables covered in table linens! I love the crispness + simplicity of white, a bit reminiscent of the simplicity of a runner on a wooden table, yes?
Hmm, these next ones are neutral/beige-ish, which totally makes me love our idea of that burlap or ... is it muslin? that rough tan or craft-brown material, thrown over linens... Ooh, it's like Style Me Pretty read our minds with the tutorial!
And then I also saw more glorious mason jar/glass bottle + chandelier action on The Bride's Cafe... totally doable! Erm, except I'm not sure how a chandelier literally works in a tent. Hmmm...
